Coventry Transport Museum
Coventry Transport Museum is a tourist destination in Coventry, which is conveniently located in the city centre. As a result, it is easily accessible from either of the two university campuses in the city, as well as from much of the student accommodation Coventry has to offer.
The museum itself is largely intended to celebrate the significant role that the city of Coventry has played in the British motor industry. It is home to hundreds of cars, motorcycles, bicycles and other forms of road transport, with some of the most notable examples including a ‘Back to the Future’ style DeLorean DMC-12 and an Austin Metro that was once owned by Princess Diana.
Furthermore, it is also home to two British jet cars, in the form of the Trust2 and Trust SSC. The former broke the land speed record in 1983, while the latter broke the record in 1997.
Coventry Transport Museum is open every day from 10pm to 5pm, with free admissions.
