Payments & Guarantors

June 23, 2016 by Ololade Adedayo

Payments

The most important payments related to making a booking and right to quiet enjoyment over the course of your tenancy are listed below in Payment Category A. Once taken possession of your accommodation neither will the Landlord or Student Pavilion bother you other than passing any necessary communication for property repairs or scheduled tenancy visit.

Other prohibitory and optional payments that could be incurred after initial warnings e.g in fines for late or non payment of rent, social misconduct, uncleaned accommodation, damaged accommodation etc are inserted in your tenancy agreement. Please go through them carefully to be sure you remain in good conduct throughout your tenancy as we always endeavour to seek remedy for loss.

Payment Category A

1) Booking Fee

2) Tenant Referencing Fee

3) Returnable Deposits

4) Tenancy Rents (Installments or full payment option)

Guarantors

It is very necessary that we ask you to present a financial responsible person to stand as your rent guarantor if ever a situation arises that you’re unable to pay your rent during the course of your tenancy. This actually protects you against eviction which we hope never to activate except in extremely difficult circumstances of consistent late/non-payment of rent and or misconduct.

All rent guarantors must be UK based and contactable. This could be your parents, guardians or other financially responsible persons. If paying in full you will not need a guarantor and you can’t guarantee yourself either even if a mature student. International students who may struggle for a UK guarantor can use the guarantor services of Housinghand.co.uk who are a specialist UK guarantor provider offering guarantor service from £295. Their application is simple with a decision in minutes. Once preapproved a rent guarantee agreement will be emailed to your guarantor.
